UFC St. Louis weigh-in results: Jared Gooden fails to weigh in, fight canceled

Jared Gooden was once again baffled by the scale.

At the UFC's official morning weigh-in in St. Louis, Gooden was unable to step on the scale due to health concerns, the UFC announced Friday. His welterweight preliminary fight with Kevin Jousset has been cancelled.

This isn't the first time Gooden has made headlines for the wrong reasons on weigh-in day. In March 2023, Gooden replaced Abubakar Nurmagomedov on three days' notice against Carlston Harris. Booking on short notice did not do Gooden any favors as he ended up missing six pounds in weight for the welterweight fight. Harris defeated Gooden via unanimous decision.

With the exception of Gooden, there were no weigh-in issues before Saturday's tournament. Heavyweight headliners Derrick Lewis (264) and Rodrigo Nascimento (265) successfully made weight, as did co-main event welterweights Joaquin Buckley (170) and Nursulton Ruziboev (170.25).
