ATP – Rome – Jarry challenges Zverev for his first Masters 1000 final

THE Rome Internationals end this Sunday evening after 11 days of competition. From the first rounds, favorites like Djokovic, Ruud And Rublev were surprised, opening the way to a new unexpected final, after that of Madrid, between Alexander Zverev And Nicolas Jarry. The German, in rather poor form on clay this season, returned to his best level, while the Chilean confirmed his status as an outsider with a view to Roland Garros.

Nicolas Jarry facing the biggest challenge of his career

The 28-year-old Chilean, 24th in the ATP rankings this week, had a very difficult start on European soil this season… Yet formidable thanks to his overpowering serve and a stunning forehand, Nicolas Jarryyet favorite of his first three rounds Monte Carlo, Barcelona and Madrid, was beaten from the start during its first three European meetings of the year. He will try to win his fourth title, the best of his career.

Alexander Zverev wants to build confidence before Roland-Garros

The Parisian Grand Slam promises to be particularly open this year, and Alexander Zverev would like to play spoilsport to hope to win his first Grand Slam. The German, also rather disappointing since the start of the season on clay (8th to Monte Carlo And Madridquarter to Munich), had a quieter journey than his opponent until the final.
