The 28-year-old Chilean, 24th in the ATP rankings this week, had a very difficult start on European soil this season… Yet formidable thanks to his overpowering serve and a stunning forehand, Nicolas Jarryyet favorite of his first three rounds Monte Carlo, Barcelona and Madrid, was beaten from the start during its first three European meetings of the year. Alexander Zverev wants to build confidence before Roland-Garros

The Parisian Grand Slam promises to be particularly open this year, and Alexander Zverev would like to play spoilsport to hope to win his first Grand Slam. The German, also rather disappointing since the start of the season on clay (8th to Monte Carlo And Madridquarter to Munich), had a quieter journey than his opponent until the final. He only had to get rid of one Top 30 player, Taylor Fritz (6-4, 6-3) in the quarter-finals. The 27-year-old German, who has a positive record in the Masters 1000 final (5-4), will try to win his 22nd title, the second in Rome after 2017. Falling from his opponent four times (in six confrontations) , he will leave with the status of favorite for this final… but will obviously have to be wary and play at an excellent level of play to get rid of the formidable Chilean.
