Provocative as usual, Conor McGregor recently humiliated a lot of UFC superstars including Kamaru Usman. Except that the former welterweight champion did not appreciate it at all and therefore rushed to respond with a bang to the Notorious…

With the return to business of Conor McGregor, we may well find ourselves thrown back several years. Because the entertainment offered by the Irishman, as controversial as it may be, the UFC has not really known him since his injury in 2021. The Dublin native has not abandoned his provocative nature, but he only did it through his social media instead of pre-fight press conferences.

While he is going to put on his mitts again at the end of June to cross swords with Michael Chandler, the former double champion has therefore resumed his good old habits… by humiliating absolutely everyone among his peers. Ilia Topuria, Alexandre Volkanovski, Leon Edwards: everyone took the price, including a certain Kamaru Usman. Asked about him during a live, McGregor did not mince his words about the star:

Big beef between Conor McGregor and Kamaru Usman

Osman? I have no idea who this guy is, who is Osman? Usman…Kamaru Usman? Fuck him! Kamaru Usman go fuck himself, he's a bum. I don't give a damn about Kamaru Usman. osman Usman, they don't even know how to spell your name man. Where is Osman at the moment with his little Malteser bald head?

As so often with the Notorious, the speech given was totally devoid of class and he did not hesitate to attack the physique of the Nigerian Nightmare, a great specialty. Except that his words obviously did not fall on deaf ears and as one might expect, Usman did not appreciate it at all. The former welterweight champion brutally returned the favor on his podcast:

Conor is who he is, he's done fantastic things in MMA, for the UFC… but so have I. He was champion, but so was I. What I have a problem with is that you show up and say, “He’s a bum. “You can't say that, Conor. I didn't say bad things about him when he was at the bottom, he had problems with the law, no one ever heard me say bad things about him when he was at his worst.

There has to be some respect because at the end of the day, that's the most important thing in this sport. Topuria is not a bum, he is a world champion. I'm not a tramp. If it's because you want to fight me, I gave Conor two opportunities to fight me when I was champion. (…) I think sometimes it would be better if you put down that bottle of whiskey and be a good father, a good example.

Conor McGregor is a master of controversial trash-talking and he once again proved it with this beef between him and Kamaru Usman. The risk in all of this is that a return loss at UFC 303 could hurt him immensely after making such comments about some of the best fighters on the planet.
