Tennis. American Peyton Stearns wins her first WTA title in Rabat

Ultra-dominant in all areas of the game, the American Peyton Stearns (81st) easily disposed of the Egyptian Mayar Sherif (66th) this Saturday in the final of the WTA 250 tournament in Rabat, winning her first title on the circuit main.

Stearns (22 years old) largely mastered his subject and took advantage of his opponent's numerous errors, for only his second final after that of Bogota in 2023.

The American will now continue with Roland-Garros, where she will face, in an affordable first round, the Croatian Lucija Ciric Bagaric (185th).

Mayar Sherif, who was the first Egyptian player to win a WTA 250 title in 2022 in Parma, will face the Chinese Yue Yuan (36th) in the first round on the clay court of Porte d'Auteuil.
