Khamzat Chimaev is currently ranked number 10 at UFC middleweight. The 30-year-old Chechen has 13 wins and 0 losses in his career. But how long will he remain undefeated? If there is one man who wants to taint this record, it is Robert Whittaker. Ranked number 3, the New Zealander will face 'Borz' on June 22 at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Arriving at the UFC in 2020, Khamzat Chimaev quickly established himself as the new MMA sensation. He has seven victories in the American organization, the last being a majority decision over legend Kamaru Usman in October 2023 (see fight summary). As Khamzat's return approaches, speculation is growing.

Darren Till, veteran welterweight And middleweight of the UFC, gave his opinion on Whittaker vs. Chimaev. The Briton believes that 'Borz', who is his friend and training partner, can win by knockout.
“I think he (Khamzat Chimaev) will beat him (Robert Whittaker) in the second round” Darren Till told The Mac Life. “Khamzat has power on his feet. He can really deliver powerful punches and kicks. It will be a good fight.”
Robert Whittaker, for his part, is coming off a unanimous decision victory over Paulo Costa at UFC 298 last February. Despite a big scare in the first round with a back kick from Costa, Whittaker showed that he was an exceptional fighter. He will have to show it once again against Khamzat Chimaev, an elite wrestler with fists of fire.
