A Disney employee died after falling from a golf cart backstage at the Southern California theme park, US authorities said Saturday.
Anaheim Police Sergeant Jon McClintock said authorities responded to the Disney resort Wednesday morning. A woman had fallen from a moving golf cart and hit her head.
She was taken to hospital and died Friday from her injuries, Mr. McClintock said in a statement.
Ken Potrock, president of Disneyland Resortexpressed his condolences and said the company was focused on supporting his family and colleagues.
We are heartbroken
added Mr. Potrock in a press release.
The death was reported earlier Saturday by the Orange County Register.
