ATP – Queen's > Alcaraz on his rivalry with Sinner: “Tennis needed that. I think it's really good to have new faces in the world top” – We Love Tennis

Occupying the first two places in the ATP rankings, Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner have taken over world tennis this season. They shared the first two Grand Slams of the season, with the Australian Open for the Transalpine, and Roland‐Garros for the Spaniard.

In an interview with Eurosport before beginning the defense of his title at Queen's, the Murcian returned to this emerging rivalry which helps him to transcend himself every day.

“As I said before, having Jannik with me, on top at the same time, is very good for me. He helps me raise my level of play, he helps me have that motivation to improve my game, to be able to beat him. So for me, it's perfect to have him, to be number one and number two in the world, at 21, 22 or 23 years old, it's something incredible. Tennis needed that, I believe it anyway, to have the new generation, the young people in the top positions. I think it's really good, having new faces in the world top. »
