Jackson set to depart Chelsea permanently following Bayern loan
Chelsea is actively seeking potential buyers for forward Nicolas Jackson once he returns from Bayern Munich next summer, according to Caught Offside.
The Senegalese player lost his place in the squad with the Blues last summer, resulting in his loan to Bayern prior to the transfer deadline. Jackson has served as a secondary option to Harry Kane for the Bundesliga champions, netting five goals in 18 matches so far. Bayern holds an impressive €65 million purchase option as part of the loan agreement; however, they are expected to forgo this option at the end of the season. Thus, the 24-year-old is set to go back to Chelsea next summer. He may be sold right away, as he has no future at the London club. Manager Enzo Maresca is not interested in reintegrating him into the lineup, and the club is open to offers from other teams. They may need to settle for a fee significantly below €65 million for Jackson, who also doesn’t wish to play for Chelsea again in his career.
