DeMoor Tops Tate In Dubai

In the highlight match of “The Fight Before Christmas,” Chase DeMoor handed a reality check to the provocative Andrew Tate, claiming victory by majority decision after a hard-fought six rounds. Andrew Tate had been absent from any competitive rings for five years, yet he was fully confident in his ability to overcome Chase DeMoor, the Misfit Boxing heavyweight titleholder. Previously, Tate was a titleholder in kickboxing, holding championships in both K-1 and ISKA, whereas DeMoor made his mark as a notable DII college football athlete, transitioning to professional boxing two years prior. Despite his extensive hiatus from competition, Tate put forth a commendable effort, but he could not keep up with DeMoor’s timing, skill, or athletic prowess, which included a barrage of uppercuts that left Tate with cuts and bruises. The scorecards from the judges reflected the six-round match as follows: 57-57, 58-56 twice, in favor of DeMoor, resulting in a majority decision. Following pre-fight tensions, both Tate and DeMoor displayed sportsmanship toward one another after the match concluded. DeMoor expressed his admiration for Tate, stating, “The hardest guy I’ve ever fought in my life. I have all the respect in the world for this man. This man literally pulled me out of a suicide. I was gonna kill myself after that first fight (his pro debut loss to Frankie Freelove in 2023). I don’t care what anybody says about this guy, he’s a f*#&ing legend! Respect, thank you so much!” With this victory, DeMoor advances to 5-1, with 2 KOs, while Tate begins his boxing journey at 0-1.
