Chelsea makes decision on Nicolas Jackson transfer
Chelsea defender set to depart in January – Fabrizio Romano
The Blues have established a reputation for signing emerging talents under their current management, and this trend is likely to persist next year. They have been keeping a close watch on Karetsas for several months and are ready to make a formal move in the near future. The young player recently turned 18, which allows the Blues to register him when the transfer window reopens in January. If Chelsea successfully secures his signature, it is probable they will loan him back to Genk to aid his development until the summer. Karetsas is capable of playing as an attacking midfielder or a right winger. He has contributed to 12 goals in 27 appearances for Genk this season. Arsenal has also shown interest in the promising playmaker, who could reportedly leave Genk for approximately €40 million. Currently, Chelsea is leading the chase for the teenager.
