
Milan defender Tomori sets sights on World Cup with England

Milan’s Fikayo Tomori emphasizes that his aspirations for the World Cup remain strong as he re-establishes himself as an essential player at San Siro. The England international is nearing his fifth year with Milan this January and has regained a consistent starting position after a challenging few seasons. His return to form has aligned with Massimiliano Allegri’s appointment as head coach of the Rossoneri, positioning Tomori once again as a central figure in defense. Absolutely,” Tomori stated. “It’s something I want for myself, and I recognize that winning the league will aid in my efforts. I spoke with Tuchel following the last international break in November. We’ve had several conversations, and his message has been to continue my current form.” Tomori hopes Milan form leads to England call-up Tomori understands the stiff competition he faces in his position but is encouraged by Tuchel’s ongoing focus on Milan. “The World Cup is half a year away, with plenty of football left to play. He mentioned it’s tough because there are many players competing for my spot, and I get that when considering players like John Stones, Marc Guéhi, Dan Burn, and Ezri Konsa.” Despite the obstacles, Tomori is resolute about his objective. “The World Cup remains a dream, and I’m striving towards it every day,” he concluded.
