´Anything can happen´ in January transfer window, states Glasner amid Johnson rumors

Oliver Glasner acknowledged that “anything can happen” during the January transfer window, yet he did not confirm the reports linking Crystal Palace to Brennan Johnson.
In recent days, Palace has been associated with the Tottenham forward, with rumors indicating that an agreement has been reached between both teams.
The ultimate choice rests with Johnson himself, who is also reportedly being watched by Bournemouth, should they need to substitute Antoine Semenyo if his rumored transfer to Manchester City proceeds.
Thomas Frank expressed that he “fully anticipates” the Welsh international will be available for Spurs in their upcoming matches.
Ahead of Palace’s Premier League clash with Fulham on New Year’s Day, Glasner felt it was inappropriate to speculate on player transfers.
“Let’s wait and see,” he stated during his pre-match press briefing.
“This next month in football is bound to be chaotic, and I honestly don’t know.
“I have been through so many situations where you think a player is definitely coming, and then he doesn’t, or you believe a player will surely remain, and then he leaves.

“The next 31 days will invariably be everything is possible as usual, and anything I say now could be proven incorrect in two days.
“I suspect that much of what I mention now will surely be inaccurate by the end of the transfer window, as I have no clue.
“That’s why I tend to not worry about it and particularly why I prefer not to discuss it publicly.”
Johnson netted the decisive goal that granted Spurs the Europa League trophy in May, but has only started six Premier League matches this season.
Although he is struggling for playing time under Frank, he has scored four goals across all competitions, ranking as the third-highest scorer for Spurs this season.
The 24-year-old was Tottenham’s top scorer in all competitions under Ange Postecoglou last year, with 18 goals.
