Jazza Dickens vs Anthony Cacace confirmed for March 14th in Dublin
With Hayato Tsutsumi recovering from an eye injury, newly crowned WBA super featherweight champion Jazza Dickens will make his first title defense against former IBF champion Anthony Cacace on March 14th in Dublin, Ireland. Dickens (36-5, 15 KO) is at the peak of his career at 34 years old, starting 2025 with a surprising victory over Zelfa Barrett in the latter’s hometown of Manchester and following that up with a standout knockout of 2020 Olympic gold medalist Albert Batyrgaziev in Istanbul. He was originally set to wrap up the year against top prospect Tsutsumi in Japan, but now faces another challenging bout against “Anto.” Cacace (24-1, 9 KO) inflicted damage on Joe Cordina for the IBF title in May of 2024, only to relinquish the belt instead of facing mandatory challenger Eduardo “Sugar” Nunez, choosing instead to pursue more lucrative matchups with former champions Josh Warrington and Leigh Wood. Although he is also 36, he remains sharp and is expected to provide an entertaining matchup against Dickens. The co-main event features undefeated local favorite Pierce O’Leary (18-0, 10 KO) taking on Mark Chamberlain (17-1-1, 12 KO), who was previously known as Turki’s Specialest Boy before a 1-1-1 stretch that led him to a loss against Josh Padley and a draw with Jack Rafferty.
