Manchester United will be missing eight players for their Premier League match against Leeds United at Elland Road this Sunday afternoon.
The Red Devils endured a frustrating 1-1 draw against Wolverhampton Wanderers at Old Trafford during the midweek. Despite this result, they remain just three points behind fourth-placed Liverpool in the league table. The club seeks to enhance their Champions League ambitions with a victory this weekend. Prior to the match, manager Ruben Amorim confirmed that they will be without eight players, including Mason Mount. Mount picked up a hamstring injury on Boxing Day in the match against Newcastle United and will definitely be unavailable, along with midfielders Kobbie Mainoo and Bruno Fernandes, who are both dealing with minor issues as well. Matthijs de Ligt and Harry Maguire have returned to individual training following their respective injuries, but the match will come too soon for the center-backs. Bryan Mbeumo, Noussair Mazraoui, and Amad Diallo are also expected to miss out due to their involvement in the Africa Cup of Nations.
