SES Boxing Reflects on a Successful Anniversary Year 2025!

In its 25th year of operation, SES Boxing, the boxing stable based in Magdeburg, has remarkably reaffirmed its status as a leading entity in German professional boxing. Through historic sporting feats, international title victories, and well-organized events, SES Boxing set many benchmarks once more in 2025.
A significant moment in German boxing history was created by Tina Rupprecht from Augsburg, who achieved the title of undisputed world champion by capturing all the world titles from the major boxing organizations. This accomplishment is unparalleled among any male or female German boxer.
Throughout the remainder of the year, the SES boxers consistently shone on the global stage: Artur Reis secured the IBF and WBO Europe titles, and Julian Vogel defended his WBO Junior World Championship title successfully on two occasions. Roman Fress regained the WBO Intercontinental title, and Armend Xhoxhaj clinched the WBO Europe title in the cruiserweight category.
On the world scene, Roman Fress (WBO #1) and Michael Eifert (IBF #1) are set to make further headlines in the upcoming year. Both athletes are currently ranked at the top of their respective world rankings, granting them direct access to world championship bouts. Roman Fress is scheduled to compete for the WBO interim cruiserweight world title against WBO #3 Tommy Punch (Tahir Kahrovic) on March 7th at the Magdeburg Exhibition Center.
The youth program also showed remarkable progress. Heavyweight prospect Michel Dobler participated in all four SES boxing events throughout the year, winning every match. The two-meter-tall, 22-year-old from Thuringia, who now resides and trains in Magdeburg, is viewed as a strong candidate for a Junior World Championship in 2026.
Additionally, “Team Germany” boxers Max Suske (Stralsund) and Paul Schmidt (Magdeburg) will continue their athletic development at SES Boxing, aiming to achieve further success on the national stage in 2026.
From an organizational perspective, SES Boxing emphasized its solid market position by hosting four prestigious boxing evenings with live TV coverage during this anniversary year.
SES promoter Ulf Steinforth and manager Benedikt Poelchau expressed great satisfaction with the events of the boxing year 2025 and eagerly anticipate the challenges that the year 2026 will bring.
Tickets for the upcoming SES boxing gala featuring Roman Fress’ WBO world title fight on March 7, 2026, at the Magdeburg Exhibition Centre can be purchased at www.eventim.de, at all ticket outlets, or by calling the SES ticket hotline at 0391-7273720.
