Reports suggest that Roma may be contemplating an early termination of Leon Bailey’s loan from Aston Villa due to yet another injury that has sidelined him for the match against Lecce. The Giallorossi will kick off the Serie A midweek fixtures by welcoming Lecce on Tuesday evening. Their squad announcement today notably excludes Bailey, Lorenzo Pellegrini, and Tommaso Baldanzi. As per La Gazzetta dello Sport, the absence stems from the Jamaica international experiencing thigh pain while training separately from his teammates. Bailey has yet to make a significant impact at Roma. He has received only one start, against Sassuolo, and was substituted at halftime, so in 10 competitive outings, he has logged a mere 237 minutes of play. The situation began poorly, as he suffered a thigh strain within a day of his arrival, which kept him off the pitch for nearly two months.
