Mainoo pursued by Besiktas this winter
Turkish club Besiktas is allegedly interested in securing a loan for Manchester United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo during the upcoming winter transfer window.
Mainoo has not yet made a start in the Premier League this season. Although he is currently sidelined due to injury, he is contemplating his future away from the Red Devils. Amidst this situation, reports indicate that Besiktas has put forth an offer to sign Mainoo on an 18-month loan agreement, and a formal proposal has been submitted. However, the Red Devils are unlikely to entertain it, considering they are lacking depth and quality in their midfield area. United has opted not to pursue any winter acquisitions, suggesting that Mainoo may not be permitted to depart on loan soon. In addition, the midfielder himself may turn down a move to Besiktas as he is looking for a temporary transfer to enhance his World Cup opportunities with England, and a move to Besiktas may not boost his chances.
