Chelsea to acquire Vinicius?
Chelsea is reportedly ready to invest a colossal amount of £130 million, including add-ons, to secure the services of Real Madrid forward Vinicius Junior this winter.
The Blues have faced a challenging first half of the Premier League season. They trailed league leaders Arsenal by six points in November, but now find themselves 17 points behind the north London side. Recently, Chelsea decided to part ways with manager Enzo Maresca. Liam Rosenior has stepped in as his successor, but the club may now pursue a substantial offer to bring Vinicius from Real Madrid, according to Fichajes. Vinicius experienced a disagreement with manager Xabi Alonso earlier in the season, but that issue has been resolved. Even so, there’s considerable speculation that he might seek a new opportunity away from Madrid in the near future. Chelsea is being linked to an unexpected move for the Brazilian star, although it’s hard to believe they can meet his financial demands due to their wage policy. The Blues have a firm salary cap of £150,000 per week for new players, and it’s improbable that Vinicius would accept such a modest deal, given that he currently earns a base salary of £424,000 per week at Los Blancos.
