Diomande to join Man Utd soon?
Manchester United has begun negotiations with RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande, as reported by Caught Offside.
The Red Devils are eager to enhance their attacking options this year, with the addition of a new wide player being a top priority. Their interest in Antoine Semenyo fell through when the Ghanaian opted to move to Manchester City from Bournemouth. It has now emerged that United are in talks with Diomande after obtaining approval from his club Leipzig. However, striking a deal before the current transfer window closes seems unlikely, as Leipzig is seeking a substantial fee for him. The Bundesliga club is unwilling to entertain offers lower than £87 million and will not offer any reductions during the winter transfer period. Diomande joined Leipzig from Leganes at the beginning of the season and has already recorded 11 goal contributions. Currently, he is representing the Ivory Coast at the Africa Cup of Nations, where they are set to compete against Morocco in the quarter-finals tomorrow.
