Bournemouth has reached out to Arsenal regarding a potential transfer for winger Ethan Nwaneri, who has dropped in the hierarchy at the Emirates Stadium this season, despite having signed a new contract last summer. The Englishman is eager for an opportunity elsewhere as he aims for a possible spot in England’s World Cup squad this summer.
Nwaneri reportedly feels frustrated by the limited playing time and was not included in the matchday squad for recent fixtures. It is noted that Arteta maintains a good rapport with Nwaneri and is open to allowing him to go out on loan to secure regular first-team action, contingent on the Gunners’ injury situation by the end of January. Nwaneri showcased outstanding form last season, most notably netting a stunning goal against Manchester City, yet this year, appearances have been scarce. Arsenal is also contemplating loaning out other players during the January transfer window to bolster their squad as they aim for their first Premier League title in over two decades.
