Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Friday appointed former Pakistan skipper Azhar Ali as head of youth growth. The newly created function was crammed after a recruitment course of, based on the PCB. Other than being a member of the choice committee for the boys’s nationwide staff, Azhar Ali may even function the pinnacle of youth growth. Azhar opened up on his new function and mentioned that he’s honoured and excited to tackle the obligations.

“I’m honoured and excited to tackle this vital function. Having risen by way of the age-group ranks and performed in depth membership and home cricket, I perceive the vital function grassroots growth performs in shaping future stars,” Azhar mentioned on his appointment as quoted by ESPNcricinfo.

Azhar was in control of Pakistan in ODIs from 2015 to 2017 (taking up for Misbah-ul-Haq after the World Cup), a turbulent time for the staff within the format throughout which they fell to No. 9 within the rankings.
