The west London club is aiming to bounce back to winning form tomorrow, yet Maresca was hesitant to confirm the presence of James and Palmer in the starting eleven. The Italian coach stated that both players would need evaluation before making a conclusive decision, saying: “We will need to see how they are. Then we will need to decide (if they face Bournemouth).” Chelsea has had a difficult December, managing only five points from their last five matches. Although Bournemouth is also struggling, the Blues have not triumphed against them in their previous two encounters.
