Samuel Chukwueze has shared his thoughts on his short tenure in Serie A with Milan, acknowledging that he found it challenging to establish himself and gain rhythm before being loaned to Fulham. During an interview with On Sport while with Nigeria at the Africa Cup of Nations, as reported by Milanista, the winger discussed his time in Italy, his present situation in the Premier League, and the potential for a return in the future. Although he currently plays for Fulham, Chukwueze is still contracted with AC Milan and emphasizes that his bond with the Rossoneri remains intact. My family is still there, so I certainly miss the city. They are performing well, and I wish them nothing but the best; I’m still a Milan player, after all, as I’m simply on loan.” Chukwueze predicts Milan to secure a top-four finish in Serie A. The Nigerian international also commented positively about Milan’s title aspirations this season, supporting his former club to stay in the competition. “You can see what Milan is achieving, they are performing excellently,” he stated. “If they continue to push like this, I believe they can win. I’m confident they’ll secure a top-four finish due to their consistently high level.” Samuel Chukwueze transfers to Fulham from AC Milan. Reflecting on his time in Italy, Chukwueze was frank about the challenges he encountered while adjusting to Serie A. “I don’t feel I was provided with the time or chances I required,” he noted. “But that’s just how football is. I need to keep putting in the effort. Perhaps one day I’ll make my way back to Serie A, or La Liga, or continue in the Premier League. English football likely aligns better with my style than Italian strategies.” Chukwueze also expressed admiration for his new teammate Luka Modrić, labeling him “one of the finest players I’ve ever played alongside,” and praised Zlatan Ibrahimović, whose presence he described as inspiring throughout the entire Milan dressing room.
