Inter appears as Atalanta ponders Palestra’s January transfer – report

As per Corriere dello Sport, Atalanta is contemplating the sale of Marco Palestra in the upcoming January transfer window, with Inter among the clubs keen on the talented right-back. Palestra has shown impressive form early in the season while on loan at Cagliari, but Atalanta may still opt to part ways with him next month. Selling the defender would enable the Bergamo club to acquire reinforcements for their new manager Raffaele Palladino. Inter is among the teams showing interest in the 20-year-old, although the report indicates that Atalanta has also received inquiries from other domestic and international clubs. This is where Marco Brescianini and Daniel Maldini come into play. Cagliari has expressed interest in the Atalanta duo, and their loan to the island in January could help offset Palestra’s potential exit.
