Reports from Sunday indicate that Juventus is in negotiations over a remarkable deal for former Milan full-back Theo Hernandez, who has been playing the 2025-26 season in the Saudi Pro League with Al-Hilal under the management of former Inter coach Simone Inzaghi. Reports Juventus exploring summer transfer for Theo HernandezTheo Hernandez departed Milan after completing six seasons at the conclusion of the 2024-25 season, signing with Al-Hilal in a transfer valued around €20m plus bonuses. The French defender is reportedly receiving a similar salary per season on his current contract with Al-Hilal. Various Italian reports suggest that Theo is already contemplating a departure from the Saudi Pro League, with earlier claims from Carlo Pellegatti stating that there are ‘advanced’ discussions underway with Juventus.

The Bianconeri had been associated with a move for the Frenchman at different points throughout the 2024-25 season prior to his eventual relocation to Riyadh. Theo also participated in an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport just before Christmas, asserting that he never genuinely wished to leave Serie A, but that Milan had threatened to sideline him had he remained and completed the final year of his contract. “I deserved better treatment,” he stated.
It remains uncertain what the cost will be to acquire Theo Hernandez if Juventus chooses to move forward with a deal. What is clear is that the left-back will need to significantly reduce his salary, which is currently estimated at around €20m-€25m per season, if he intends to join a Serie A club.
