Liverpool is reportedly one of the clubs eager to acquire Harry Wilson, as per Mick Brown. The ex-chief scout for Manchester United and Blackburn Rovers has noted that Wilson, whose contract at Fulham expires at the season’s end, might be poised for a return to Anfield. Brown shared with Football Insider: “Harry Wilson is definitely a player to keep an eye on.
“He’s demonstrating this season his capabilities at peak performance, which has drawn the attention of numerous clubs regarding his circumstances. I believe Liverpool could be one of those teams.
“It may come as a surprise, but they are dealing with the Salah situation in the background, and they have been seeking to bolster their wing positions, making Wilson a worthwhile addition.
“He may not be a marquee name and such a transfer might not spark excitement among the fans, yet he is proving to be just as competent as other players they’ve considered.
“If he can maintain this level of performance until the season concludes and opts against renewing his contract with Fulham, it would present a low-risk opportunity as a free transfer.
“Liverpool has invested significantly in high-profile players who haven’t met expectations, so perhaps pivoting away from that strategy is just what they need.”
