Greenwood appears on Liverpool’s radar

Liverpool is contemplating a transfer to acquire Marseille striker Mason Greenwood next summer, as the club accelerates efforts to find a successor for Mohamed Salah. The Egyptian is expected to leave Anfield at the conclusion of the season and is eager for a move to Saudi Arabia, potentially commanding a fee close to £30 million, which would play a significant role in financing the acquisition of Greenwood.

Marseille reportedly has set a minimum release clause of 100 million euros in Greenwood’s contract, yet they may be open to selling the forward for approximately £60 million if the circumstances are favorable. Under the management of Roberto de Zerbi, Greenwood has showcased exceptional form this season, with his club currently in 3rd place in Ligue 1. Despite the controversies surrounding his exit from Manchester United, Greenwood is prepared to make a return to England, and it is believed that after being exonerated of any misconduct, the forward has become a viable transfer target for Liverpool. He has contributed to 18 goals and assists at this season’s halfway mark.
