Barcola to Liverpool?
Liverpool is considering an ambitious bid for Paris Saint-Germain’s winger Bradley Barcola after missing out on Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo.
The Reds recently reached out to the Cherries regarding Semenyo after discovering the £65 million release clause in his existing contract. However, they are now less likely to secure his signature. Semenyo has opted to join Manchester City, with a deal potentially being finalized on January 1. Arne Slot’s team is now exploring other options, and Caught Offside reports that they may make a serious attempt to acquire Barcola from Les Parisiens. The 23-year-old has yet to sign a new long-term contract with an increased salary and is contemplating his future, having been included sporadically in the starting lineup. A move to the Premier League might attract him, but it remains uncertain if the Reds can convince Les Parisiens to approve a mid-season transfer. Should he join the Reds, Barcola would likely secure a regular position on either wing. A transfer fee of around £80 million could be necessary to lure him away from PSG.
