Liverpool Returns for Semenyo

Liverpool has re-entered the competition to acquire Antoine Semenyo from Bournemouth, as reported by The Daily Mail.

The Liverpool club initially made an inquiry about the Ghanaian talent in November and has now reignited their interest in the winger. Recently, Manchester City seemed to be the frontrunners for the 25-year-old, yet they have failed to come to an agreement on payment conditions with the Cherries. Currently, Semenyo’s release clause stands at £65 million, to be paid in three yearly installments of £20m plus an additional £5m in add-ons. Man City intends to negotiate a more extended payment period for the forward, but as it is, the Cherries remain unconvinced by their proposal. In the meantime, Liverpool is resuming its pursuit of the player, and the Cherries expect a significant bid from the Reds in the near future. Semenyo has had an outstanding league season up to this point, scoring nine goals and providing three assists across 19 matches for his team.
