Bayindir seeks January transfer
Manchester United’s goalkeeper Altay Bayindir is keen to leave the club when the transfer window opens at the start of the new year.
The Turkey international began the season as the primary goalkeeper in the Premier League, ahead of summer acquisition Senne Lammens. However, he was quickly replaced following a few significant mistakes that allowed Lammens to take over. Since then, Lammens has been consistently starting, and Bayindir is now anxious to find an exit from the Red Devils in search of first-team opportunities. Bayindir played for Turkey in the recent World Cup qualifier against Spain, with his nation still in contention to qualify for the tournament through the play-offs. The former Fenerbahce player understands that to secure a starting position for Turkey, he requires consistent first-team play during the initial months of 2026. Currently, United lacks a replacement for Bayindir, and they may wish to sign a capable backup before allowing his mid-season move.
