As reported by Marca, Napoli has inquired with Real Madrid about the possibility of acquiring Franco Mastantuono on loan for January, but their request was firmly declined. The Partenopei are in search of midfield options following injuries that sidelined Kevin De Bruyne, Andre Frank Zambo Anguissa, and Billy Gilmour. Their budget constraints require that any new acquisitions be funded through player sales, leading them to seek loan options instead. The club invested €60m to acquire him from River Plate during a competitive bidding process that included Paris Saint-Germain. The young Argentine, only 18 years old, netted his first goal against Levante, but a groin injury in early November hindered his development. Real Madrid is confident that Mastantuono should stay with them for this season to better adjust to European football, without embarking on a loan to Napoli.
