The club is contemplating parting ways with Gilardino to bring in Carlo Ancelotti’s son, Davide, as reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport. Pisa’s disappointing performance in 2025-26 has led to this consideration. The newly promoted Serie A team is set to face Juventus at home in their next match, and Gilardino’s job is likely at risk with a loss. Unsurprisingly, Pisa’s unsatisfactory results (one victory, eight draws, and seven defeats in Serie A this season) are the key reasons prompting club officials to consider removing the 2006 Italy World Cup victor from his position.
